T.J. Lowery (Sub-Contractors) Ltd.

What We Do

Each and every one of our contracts is allocated a Site Foreman who is responsible for a team of carpenters. The Site Foreman will work closely with the Site Agent, Architect and other professionals in advising on all aspects of carpentry, design and problem solving and working towards the goal of meeting the Clients timescale without sacrificing quality.

With all contracts we tender for we generally receive the entire carpentry package for that a specific project from roofing and all first fix, second fix all the way through to finals. Indeed, for each and every photo of all projects presented on this site we have been responsible for all the carpentry. The labour size for any given project in the past has ranged from two to eighty fully qualified carpenters who all work directly for us. We never use agency staff.

Once we are successful in acquiring a contract, we conduct detailed monthly valuations right the way through to completion. The Main Contractor’s Quantity Surveyor will always be invited along to attend each and every Site Valuation. With conducting these monthly valuations this is where we feel we excel above all other Carpentry Sub—Contracting firms which simply do not offer such expertise and instead ask the Main Contractor for a ‘day rate’ once the variations start adding up. These detailed reports can then be used by the Main Contractor to claim for such variations or even extension of time. As part of a professional approach we also provide a pre-tender estimating service for our existing Clients.
